I really love the home and staff availability I spent two weeks has formidabbles washington suites.
The blocking of the computer by children for hours and press all the buttons on the elevator so that it stops on every floor for fun I think we need more control at this level
Good hotel and good every body work in hotel thanks
Everything was great, from the hotel staff to the services and food offered. The room was cleaned every day as well as the dishes and the connecting restaurant/bar was cheaper and had better food than anything else around.
The size of the room & kitchen facilities. As a family of 5 with larger teenagers, it was great to have the space for all of us here. We did not feel packed in like we do with most hotels.
It took quite a while for the water to heat up.
Large rooms, lounge , bedroom and kitchenette wi all equipment..... Coffee in the lobby 24 hrs a day Shuttle bus to metro and shops if you need it Excellent parking Bar and shop nearby
A bit further out of thte city than I imagined, so less convenient than i hoped Too many large families living in the hotel with crying babies
I liked the space, transportation "shutle" and comfort.
I was moving in a apartment, but I got stuck in the town, and my husband is legally blind, he couldnt collect our stuff in the room on time and I asked you 2 hours extra, I come back at 2:00pm but the recieptionist charged me one night extra, I arrived happily in your hotel, but left disappointed.
Convenient location to Old Alexandria, Washington dc and metro. Free parking and breakfast added value that hotels in dc did not offer. Free shuttle to area restaurants and metro was very convenient.
Decor was a little dated but the room was clean. Kitchen facilities made it easy on the budget when traveling with young children who do not eat or need big restaurant meals.
My favorite service that the hotel offered was the free shuttle, which is the biggest reason why I chose it. The shuttle service will take you to and from any location within a mile of the hotel, so you don't have to worry about driving in traffic, getting lost, or parking fees.
The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was the walls were very thin. We could hear every noise in the hallway, but our floor was fairly quiet, so it wasn't very bothersome.
The staff was very friendly and the shuttle to the Metro was convenient. The breakfast area was roomy and well stocked. The pool was nice too.
The room looked nothing like the photo on the site. The kitchenette was probably last updated in 1965 or so, but everything was clean.
The size of the suite with the full kitchen,we didn't use it, but for a family traveling with children it would have been a blessing. We took advantage of the free bus shuttle to the Metro. It saved us the hassle of parking in D.C. The complimentary breakfast was good, pretty much on par with other hotel chains. The staff at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable and gave us tips re traveling into D.c as well as a guide sheet to local restaurants. The lady in the breakfast area,( I don't know her name), was very friendly to us. We were a family of 5 staying in two rooms and she made it a point to see that we had clean, adjoining breakfast tables so that we could sit together
Not a complaint..but..I Think that the design of the bathroom could have been better. There was no "grab bar" in the tub area to help minimize potential falls. A clothes hook on the bathroom door would have allowed us to hang up pj's,towels, etc. There was no space to keep ones toilet articles. One or two shelves or a corner shelf stand would have been great. Since you are using a pedestal wash basin a vanity is probably out of the question. You have no control over this next item. It was spring break and there were many student groups at the Suites,(primarily middle schoolers). There was one night when they were particularly rowdy,( I was there myself 100 years ago).My daughter complained to the front desk by phone and in person, as did other guests. The following night there were 3 security officers on duty to "keep the peace". Where were the chaperones?? To your credit we received a credit on our bills citing a "noise complaint", ( thank you Cathy). If you are booking student groups,( which you have every right to do ),you might want to provide them with a "Code of Conduct". No running up and down the aisles, knocking on doors, screaming at the top of her lungs,( as our neighbor did at 6:00am), "Good Morning Washington D.c" This is not to be registered as a complaint but an F.Y.i My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Washington Suites and are planning to return in September when all the kids at back in school
I would recommend Washington Suites to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, friendly hotel close to Washington D.C. The staff was wonderful. They were always ready and able to answer any questions we had about the area. When we needed directions to Ford's Theater, they printed them out for us (Carmen did this). Same thing with Mount Vernon (Justin did this). Our room was always nice and clean and very roomy. The 2nd floor restaurant/bar had very friendly service and very good food. And the price was perfect - very reasonable. Staying at Washington Suites helped to make our trip perfect!
Very large rooms, great location. Close to Metro.
Only one employee working the desk at a time. Slow check in. Tried to call several times to request shuttle back to hotel from Metro and only received recording. Complimentary breakfast was crowded and tables were dirty.
The front desk staff, especially Carmen. She was always there when we had a question or needed help with the shuttle or room key. The staff at breakfast was the most helpful I have ever seen. The staff makes this hotel one I would be likely to visit again.
Large room with everything you could think of. Kitchen fully stocked, lovely lounge room, and nice bathroom.
The coffee and breakfast was not the best. They should have better options.
The room we stayed was really nice and comfortably. I felt right at home. I plan on staying again soon. The Louge on the second floor was excellent as well. Good food, good service and games to play while we waited for our food.
